Since its foundation, the cooperative winery Cantina I Vini di Maremma deeply wanted to create synergies between local producers, following the same philosophy: the land of origin as essential patrimony to safeguard and develop. The products developed by man, such as bread, wine, oil and the products obtained by insects/animals, such as honey and cheese, give depth to a land that expresses huge differences in every corner, only few km away from each other.
OUR SHOP: IT IS A FOOD AND WINE POSTCARD FROM MAREMMA, AMONG WINE TASTINGS AND TYPICAL PRODUCTS.
We wanted to gather and enhance the food products of Maremma, that’s why we opened our shops: to enjoy and taste every productive and cultural aspect of our land.
Products
Visiting the shop is like observing a postcard from Maremma:
- pork loin in oil, typical dish that reminds of the “Chianti tuna” recipe, with softer and more delicate notes.
- Ricotta cheese obtained from the pastures of Manciano and Roccalbegna and even from maritime areas, which result in different textures and flavors from the same product.
- Fresh, creamy and preservative-free yogurt, and therefore rich in natural sweetness and acidity; a natural dessert that doesn’t need any additions.
Many other products express the man/land interaction. You just have to choose which corner of Maremma to taste each time.
Tastings
Wine and food tastings have a great importance to us, since many typical products of Maremma are particular and still to be discovered by most of our visitors.
In our historic shop adjacent to the cellar, you’ll find tables full of products to taste.
The goal of our tastings is to let people taste the different types of food and wines of our shop in a conscious way. This allows us to guide the visitors in an aware choice of local products.
